I want to start off by thanking everyone for what was a dream come true term for me. Representing the greatest MMORPG game in existence as your GoonZu was not only an amazing privilege, but truly an honor for me. Im truly blessed for having the opportunity. ;)
I must say, as a server we have been through strife and ups and downs, but one thing remains true! We are a community. We have debates on economy, we argue over whats best for our RPG world, but in the end, we are all a part of one big family.
That being said, I want to speak a bit about what we can do to work towards strengthening our community. The big key is education. We need to continue to educate young and/or uninformed players on the dangers and pitfalls they may endure playing this game of ours. If elected, I will continue to try to enhance ways of educating Zeus on scamming issues, dangerous illegal websites advertised in game, recommender abuse of young, unknowing, players and password fishing, to name a few. We could have 30 judges, but in order to slow the pace of these miscreant thieves, we must continue to educate players on what not to do and ways of avoidance.
Kirin - We started a good regiment during my last term. Our Guardian Angels and Judges were proactive in the community and I want to continue this trend and expand on it, as well. Theres been a lot of talk about increasing the number of Judges. I can say with experience, that number WAS increased during my term. They didnt have hats or free teleportation rights, but extra judges existed. Many in our great community stepped up and whispered me, my Kirin and her judges, not because they wanted the notoriety of being a Judge, but because they cared about the state of our server. To them and you all know who you are, Id like to say thank you. I hope to help, along with my Kirin, Judges, and GAs educate more members on things such as how to spot a macro hunter, how to get a scammer to say just enough that you can get a screenshot and help us get he/she banned from the game, etc... So that concerned players can further help us build on the communal support vs. the issues we all feel hurt our great game. Education is the key to winning this battle. We will continue to build on the patrolling of the hunting grounds to stop macro hunters and increase the number of undercover players to aid in achieving this task. We will remain firm, but even handed in our pursuit for order and fair play.
Red Phoenix - The Red Phoenix chair has certainly become more important then perhaps many have ever imagined. In this time of market inflation and a major increase of wealthy players on the server, I think the chair settings need to be handled as they were originally intended. There was a time when you could mindlessly set the market down rate (the rate in which items are reduced in price on the market once per real day/GoonZu Month) to 1% and the Wallace return rate (Rate in which Wallace NPC calculates his purchase prices) to 75% (maximum percentage aloud) and be done with it. The effects really wouldnt be felt in a severe manner. However, times have changed and the settings need to be checked daily and adjusted according to the current state of the market. Im not naive enough to believe that these settings can stop inevitable inflation, but I do believe that they can be used to help slow exploitation and should be viewed and reviewed accordingly. The Red Phoenix position should be given to someone who is knowledgeable and 100% ready to endure this important task. It will be focused on, more than ever before, if Im re-elected to serve.
White Tiger - My White Tiger will continue the work of his predecessor, he and I will listen to the communities suggestions on how to further shape and mold the chair settings. With the growing importance of bankruptcy and the future implementation of real, in game, alliances, the chair settings importance is no longer regulated and limited to providing the server with Guardian Angels. It also provides an outlet for fairness and equality.
Guardian Angels will be selected, as they were during my previous reign. Applications and in game testing of the applicants will help us decide who is most qualified to provide the server with the best assistance and essentially continue to provide the great players of our game with the upstanding and helpful individuals the position was originally intended to produce. Im proud of the fact that we showed that this position, can once again serve its original purpose and look forward to continuing this effort, hand and hand, with my newly appointed White Tiger.
Minister Tortoise - The change in this chair will be based more on educating the players on how it works, so they can better serve their manufacturing needs. In essence, I want all PDs/Manufacturers to feel theyve been given an equal chance at the extra experience points the settings can provide. This will be done by providing the server with a schedule of changes so they can better prepare themselves for manufacturing sessions and get the most experience points from the materials they use.
Blue Dragon - With Sieges bugged for a long period of my reign, we never really got around to discussing the proper length of sieges. I hope to, along with the help of my Minister Blue Dragon, poll the people of Zeus on the length of sieges. Most importantly, We shall make a strong effort to insure the limited number of Dark Army Events, we are given, are spaced out and setup to include the needs of all time zones. DA is a major tradition and I want everyone to enjoy it!
If elected for a second term, I hope to build on the events we already have utilized. I have plans for a Server Lottery that will simply take the server by storm and provide the everyday players with a chance to win millions of marbles, while also providing each town that participates with marbles to help them better build their capital and treasury funds. This lottery will provide a split of marbles between the towns and the winning participant, so I can continue to help every town build and thrive.
Ive been asked many times, what makes a great GoonZu. For me, its simple. You have to be there for the server. The GoonZu should be active and available. He should provide answers that the GMs cant always be there to provide due to their tedious schedules. Every question, no matter how simple or how complex, should be answered with the upmost effort. The voice of the people should be the voice of the GoonZu himself. Most importantly, the GoonZu represents the entire server. This means every town should get whatever aid it needs to help thrive. Including, but not limited to, helping each town with events and activities. I will continue to provide this service and strive to build upon its effectiveness. I will continue to provide aura (bonus attack and defense when in the presence of the GoonZu while hunting) for players at various hunting grounds, and am planning on providing a schedule of my appearances so players can better take advantage of this service.
Fourleaf distribution wont change. I stand firm on my efforts to equally provide each town chief with 3 to 4 fourleaf (on average) per day. Your town chief is essentially your representative, in game. If you cant trust he/she to provide you with the leaves I issue them, you simply need to find a new town. The remaining leaf will continue to be passed out during times when I provide aura, GoonZu Sponsored town events, GoonZu Sponsored events, birthdays and random handouts to players throughout the gaming map. The fore-mentioned is also the reason why some days TCs will get 3 rather than 4 fourleafs on certain days.
To sum it up, this election will bring us many strong candidates, I urge you to vote with your minds and hearts. Vote for what you think is best for Zeus Server. I wouldnt have it any other way. I love you Zeus and thanks for reading my words!
