You better open your shop in the p.shop area from now on, because it might be picked for an awesome new event! At the most crazy times we'll declare SHOPATHON TIME! When you see the announcement, rush to the p.shop area and join the shopathon, there are nice prices to win ^^
This is how it works:
Some time before the Shopathon is announced several shops in the p.shop will be picked. From each of the selected shops will be put an item on the shopping list. Shops sneaking in after the announcement will not be selected. The longer your shop has been in the area, the more likely that it will be picked.
Shopathon time will be announced and players gather in the p.shop area. Participants have to pass their name to the Shopathon leader, often a minister. The order of participants will be announced. It depends on how many leaders are there if one or more participants can race at the same time.
The participant gets the shopping list in PM just before he/she starts. After the START signal the participant races through the shop area to buy all the things on the list (with their own money). Then they rush to the Shopathon leader and trade him/her the purchased items. As soon as the last item is put in the trade screen the clock will be stopped. No need to accept the trade, it's just to show that you got all the items, you can keep them.
Each participant gets one chance to race and there will be more, different shopping lists, so passing lists is of no use. The participant with the fastest time wins the shopathon! He/she will get a nice prize.
This event is not only fun for the participating racers but also for the shops. They get a chance at being picked for the event and sell a lot. Plus the event will bring a lot of people to the p.shop area, they might spot your awesome offer  . And the more shops start using the p.shop area, the more people will go there to have a look.
You never know when people get into a shopping spree ^^

We are going to have a meeting about this event at 14 PST on Saturday (10th January) in the p.shop area. We will explain everything and you can also ask us about anything.
I hope it will make p.shop area more popular and players will start thinking that it is worth to sell and buy there

| How did the meeting go, sweety? for some reason I missed this post until now.
It sounds like a good idea but there must be a limit to the item that is to be "shopped"...
if I list my 6 hellfires for 120mil ea... I doubt very highly that I will be selected as a seller
even if I had been in there all week...
so certainly theres other rules that apply to being selected as a seller...
also considering that there's also alot of people BUYING mats, you could twist it around
and have the person sell items to the shop.. although obviously this gets complicated in
determining if they actually sold the item or had the money in the inventory the whole time. |

| yeah, im a bit confused as well on how this will go. but nonetheless, i think what a better idea (but i dont know if this is possible), is to make the bags visible for the sellers to move around their items. But of course it is only limited to those who are selling.
I dont know... hehe |

Location: Athravan | There will be a limit of around max 500k worth of the items the shoppers have to buy. They can keep the items they baught and the prize will be worth a lot more than 500k ^^. Sadly we cannot select shops with expensive goods since people wont be able to afford the stuff nor want to buy all those. But we hope the event will attract people to the shop area, so they will spot (and maybe buy) the expensive goods in shops aswel ^^. It is impossible to see if somebody actually sold things to shops. Unless the ministers put alts up with shops so they can see, but that's not the idea of the event. That will not promote the shop area |

| 500k isn't alot these days... you'd have to get alot of shops in there to make it work and also make it clear that if someone is selling items above 500k ea, they wont get picked...
in fact, I would like it if you just laid that out a bit more... so far I have:
in order to get picked as a seller,
must be in pshop area prior to event
must be selling items less than 500k each
in order to be picked over other pshops,
longer duration is a plus
???
Ok so I understand the requirements, but can you help with the favoritism so that people have a better idea of what you're after... like i dunno.. a price range... cuz it has to be profitable for both the seller and the buyer. I dunno... talk more please!
also, how will you determine "staying power" in the pshop area... are you going to monitor that area to see which pshops are camping there the longest?

for pshops yes... but you can either be pshop seller or one of the contestants that buy from that pshop seller (kinda buyer)...
I like this event because it encourages use of the pshop area which I havent seen anybody even try yet. However, I think there needs to be a little more drive for pshoppers to use this area... why not push to move the pvp arena into the pshop area... that might attract some shops. and instead of the tele to hanyang dropping you on hanyangs doorstep, instead have it drop you on the pshop areas doorstep... anything to increase traffic in these areas instead of in front of hanyang. |

| oh i like that idea. because the problem as well is that, even if there are people selling or buying inside the pshop area, there are still no or few people coming in. As anain said, i think it's more of a GM kinda work...

Location: Athravan | All ideas about improving the pshop area are welcome, keep them coming! ^^ Until the devs actually change anything in the p.shop area or around Hanyang (if they will anyways) we'll have to do with the area as it is now. Therefore this event and other tries to promote the area. @Snook we will have to find out what setup of the event works best. Maybe 500k is too much, or too few. And atm there is not much shop to select yet . So again: please all use the p.shop area! The more ppl using it the more ppl will come to have a look. |

| This event is a start. We dont know the out come until we try it. Anain is doing fine. We can make improvements or adjustments after the event. Just take it as it is now and then we can comment according to the the results. In the meantime, we can only suggest ideas. |

| uhmm.. this is like a year ago.. so.. this event already happened.. but until now.. i always put my shop in p.shop area.. cus im so obedient.. im so proud of myself <33.. lol.. but yea.. even though i know... people will rarely buy my mats.. i still put my shop in p.shop area |
